Welcome to the September update for Swift!

Production Update

Happy Worker sent us a couple of photos from their improvements on the swirls from our last request. You'll see that the figure is obviously just white with the swirls but we think they did a much better job on tightening up the swirl designs. We are hoping to see the final prototype by the end of the month so hopefully that means we can go into production next month but no guarantees.

Shipping Update

As was the case with the last update, the global shipping issues make this impossible to predict.  At this point in the year based on the current conditions we think its reasonable to hope that we would be shipping these to you starting early 2022.  We'll continue to be as transparent as we possibly can when it comes to information on the status of all of this and we appreciate your patience!

August Update: Swift Packaging Mockup

Good August to all of you!

We were thrilled to show off the Swift statue last month. If anybody missed that, check out our post here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/dragons-and-beasties/swift-by-dragons-and-beasties/posts/3242931.

Today we've got a mockup render of the Swift packaging. Keep in mind that this is still subject to change but likely very close to the final look.

These are just a mockup of what the packaging will look like. The swirls will have a shiny overlay that you've probably seen on other packaging but it's a little hard to show exactly how that will look on the final packaging.  

Production Update

We don't have much to report here, the feedback we mentioned in our live reveal last month has been sent to the factory and they are working on making those changes. We will start production as soon as they make these changes and we are happy with the final prototype. 

Shipping Update

We can't really give an estimate on shipping until we have started production. Obviously this has taken much longer than we originally planned for and the global shipping crisis has not gotten any better. Things are taking longer than usual at every step of the way from port to port. As an example, our latest shipment of vinyl figures has been at the port for a couple of weeks just waiting to be unloaded due to congestion at the port. To be as transparent as possible, even if full production started today (it's not), we would still be 2-3 months away from beginning the process of shipping.

Swift Sample Reveal

What's Next?

As we mentioned in the video, we still have a few things to be addressed like some missing swirls and spots along with a slight color change but it's looking great. We don't know how long it will take to get those issues fixed but we would hope it's soon. Mr. Beastie is working on the packaging and we'll show that as soon as it's done.

Shipping update

We also mention this in the video but the global shipping crisis makes it incredibly hard to predict. As soon as they fix our issues, we can start production. A conservative estimate for that would be 3 months and after that, it could be another 2-3 months to get to our fulfillment centers but these are the best guesses. Things are happening and we'll update you all here when we have a better estimate.

Swift Twitch Reveal Next Week!

We did receive our Swift prototype and while we have some minor updates, it looks beautiful and we can't wait to show you, so we'll do that next week on Twitch. If you can't make it, we will be posting it here on Kickstarter sometime after the Twitch stream.
