Hello everybody!

We are getting really close here. As we move into these later stages of this project, it's important to remember that while we are doing all we can to get Swift delivered to you as quickly as possible, issues can arise and delays can still happen.

Production Update

Swift production is well underway and very close to completion. Once that shipment has been completed and passes inspection, it'll get scheduled for departure from the factory to our fulfillment warehouse. 

Final Notices

Once the shipment has been confirmed on the water, we'll be sending out final notices to any unpaid shipments. There are still a few people who paid for the statue via Kickstarter but have yet to pay for shipping. If you don't pay for shipping, we can't ship this to you and your pledge will be forfeit. 

Shipping Address Changes

We are also approaching the time to lock down shipping addresses so if you have moved and haven't already let us know, you can change your shipping address by accessing the pledge manager here (https://swift-dragons-and-beasties.backerkit.com/). You can also message us here or email us at [email protected] and we can assist you with that. Our best guess is that we will need to lock shipping addresses in roughly a month. We will give a more concrete address lockdown date once the shipment is on the water.

Prints!

We've ordered the prints and stickers and Becca is now signing her heart away. How many sharpies do you think she'll go through?

Good News Everyone!!!

We received the latest Swift sample and it's awesome! All swirls have been accounted for and she is resting correctly in the clouds. Check her out in all her glory below.

What's Next?

Now we'll start the manufacturing process. This can take up to 2-3 months depending on the product. We are working out the numbers and final details with the manufacturer and will have an estimation soon. Conservatively, we believe we'll still be on track to get these to you all in the July/August timeframe but as we've mentioned many times, the whole manufacturing and shipping industry has been incredibly volatile and this is the best guess we can give.

During this time we'll also get the stickers and prints ordered and chain Becca to her desk while she signs all the prints.

Next Update (Late May)

Today we just wanted to give a very quick update as many of you have been asking for one. We've been patiently waiting to get confirmation that the fixed sample is on its way to us. Yesterday we finally got that confirmation so look for a bigger update in the coming weeks after we get the statue and can review it in person.

Swift Update

We did get the sample from the factory but unfortunately there were issues. There were two swirl and dot details that the factory missed. These were supposed to be there but were just missed. The other issue was that the post that connects Swift to the cloud wasn't angled properly resulting in a leaning Swift. Clearly this isn't ready to start production yet and while we are bummed, these are minor issues that will be resolved.  We were hoping this latest sample would be the one but when working on such an important piece, it has to be right. We are committed to quality and will not start production on Swift until it fully embraces Becca's vision for this statue.

As we look to close out 2021, it's hard not to look back and feel a bit disappointed. We were definitely hoping to get Swift shipped out this year but the global challenges set upon the whole industry made that nearly impossible. With this latest sample, we'll get these changes addressed and go from there. 

Unless we get a new updated sample in January, look for our next update in February.

November 21 Update

Happy Holidays everybody!  Sorry that we missed an update last month, we were busy with things and it just slipped.  This month's update is going to be short but hopefully pretty exciting.

Swift Progress

Happy Worker is sending us what we believe to be the final sample. We've had a few bits of feedback since our last update and we are pretty confident that this will be good to go. If this is approved, we can start production in December. 

Expected Dates (Best Case Scenario)

The factories shut down for the Chinese New Year (mid Jan - mid Feb) so even if we start production next week, we wouldn't be able to finish production and get it on a boat before CNY. This means we would likely ship from the factory after that. Below are the best guess timeframes given where we are now and the current state of shipping and production across the world. If you've seen the last few updates, shipping and manufacturing worldwide is a disaster. These dates are not final and should be viewed as a loose expectation.

Production Start (December) -> Production Finish (February)

Ship from factory (March) -> Arrive at fulfillment center (May)

Delivery to you (June)

Next Updates

According to the tracking, we are supposed to be receiving the Swift sample next week. We'll review it and if we can approve it and start production, we'll post a quick update in December with that news.
